Washington (Reuters)-the United States's economic health index rose straight to the ninth month in March, suggesting that economic recovery is on track despite global events such as earthquake and the tsunami in Japan.
The Conference Board leading economic index increased 0.4 percent in March, 114.1 greater than 0.2% is expected by analysts polled by Reuters. Corrected absorption of February through 1% percent previously reported 0.5.
Points of "strengthening the business conditions in the near term," said Ataman Ozyildirim, Economist at the Conference, in the Panel.
"The increase in March was led by the interest rate spread and permits housing components, while consumer expectations dropped," another Ozyildirim.
Index and also increased in 0.2 percent in March, lagging index, which was up 0.3 percent.
